| Chocolate Chip Bread with Secret Ingredient Zucchini! |

My grandmother inspires this recipe’s secret ingredient! She has a tendency to add secret vegetables to every dessert she makes. Adding zucchini adds extra Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and potassium to this yummy dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 1/8 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 Large Egg
- 2 Tbsp Butter, melted
- 1 Cup Applesauce
- 1 1/2 Cups Zucchini, Shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Combine all dry ingredients into a bowl.
- In a second bowl, mix together egg, vanilla, melted butter, applesauce and shredded zucchini.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures together.
- Stir in Chocolate Chips.
- Pour mixture into a 9×5 loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-55minutes.

Notes
-If you shred the zucchini well enough, you may be able to pass this bread off as a regular chocolate chip loaf!
-If your feeling extra creative, try substituting in raisins instead of chocolate chips. Or stir in some shredded coconut for some added fibre!
